PUBLIC RELATIONS DEPARTMENT
A special attention is provided to the
integration of our University into the European educational system,
through teaching in co-operation with famous academic institutions
based in EU. This field of work is co-ordinated by the European
Affairs Department, led by professor Mircea Cosea, Ph.D.
As a part of the large array of concerns
that our Public Relations Department displays towards all the aspect
of the academic life in Romania, we can mention first and foremost
the partnership developed with the technical University of Bucharest,
the first public-private educational partnership of this kind in
our country.
A special concern is given towards the relationships
with the civil society, including the agreement already signed with
the powerful CNSLR Fratia union, concerning the educational field.
Recently, a co-operation agreement was also
signed with the Trade and Industry Chamber of Bucharest and Romania,
in order to improve the professional activities of managers, an
activity developed by the trade and tourism faculties inside our
university.
During our existence, we have enhanced
co-operation relations with universities from abroad: study visits,
training staff and student exchange, and information.
We would like to mention especially the
Institute for Services Management from Leeuwarden, Netherlands,
Moderna University from Lisbon, Portugal, Trieste University, Jackson
State University - Mississippi, U.S., the University consortium
from Columbus, Ohio, U.S., a.s.o.

First series of graduates of the European University Summer Courses,
organized by Dimitrie Cantemir" Christian University
in co-operation with the International Center for European Training
and the European Institute for Higher Diplomatic Studies from Nice.
The
Christian University title and the entire idea behind developing
this institution are a result of a profound understanding for
Christian values, traditions and civilization, for our nation's
Christian traditions.
Our University has close connections
with the Romanian Orthodox Church Patriarchate, with some other
Christian churches from Romania and it is also open for values
expressed by other religions. |

His Beatitude Teoctist, the Romanian Orthodox Church Patriarch,
has been awarded with the Doctor Honoris Causa title by our
University |
Our
University is preoccupied to establish contacts with other Christian
Universities in the world.
An important delegation including Prof.
Prosper Grech, Ph. D. (The Augustinian Institute of Patristic Studies
and The Biblical Pontifical Institute of Rome), Prof. Stylianos
Papadopoulos, Ph. D. (The University of Athens), Prof. Andrei Kuraev
( The Theological Institute Saint Tihon in Moscow), Prof. Andrew
Louth, Ph. D. (University of Durham), Priest Prof. Nicolae Necula,
Ph. D. (Dean of the Faculty of Theology, The University of Bucharest),
visited our University and held a very interesting and particularly
actual topical on Orthodoxy.
Impressed by what he saw during the visit
to our university, Prof. Prosper Grech, Ph.D. sent a letter to Prof.
Momcilo Luburici, Ph.D. Here is a fragment of the letter:
Dear Professor Luburici,
I wish to thank you once more for the magnificent
hospitality offered to us during our visit to your University. I
was very much impressed by the University, organization, professors,
students and building. It is a miracle to have achieved so much
in such a short time. It takes much courage to found a new university;
i tis the manner God in which creates something out of nothing!
Only a dreamer with a broad flexible mind, a practical character
with a sense for economics could accomplish that. You have had all
these qualities since the University has been so successful. I hope
that one day you will receive financial support even from the State.
May God bless this University and please
convey my thanks to your staff and students.
Sincerely your in Christ,
Prof. Prosper Grech, O.S.A.
