Erasmus Open Doors 2024 is an event that has become a tradition, now in its 14th edition, through which the National Agency for Community Education and Training Programs aims to promote the Erasmus+ Program and its mobility opportunities in the academic field. The 2024 edition takes place from May 1 to May 31, 2024.
Background
The year 2024 continues the European Year of Skills and promotes young people's participation in democratic life by involving and encouraging them to vote. Therefore, the promotion of study and placement mobilities for students this year targets both the development of skills and the active citizenship and participation in democratic life.
Voting is always important, whether at local, national or European level. It is an excellent opportunity for citizens to have their say on the issues they care about. European elections are not a referendum on the EU; they work in the same way as national elections, being a competition between different views and proposals - and the more people vote, the more different views will be represented in the future European Parliament, to ensure that the Parliament's debates reflect all the views that exist in our European societies.
In this context, the Erasmus+ program:
- create opportunities for young people to become active citizens and encourage others to get involved in the voting process;
- promotes opportunities for young people offered by public policies and initiatives at European, national, regional and local level;
- facilitates contexts where young people are put in the spotlight and issues of concern to them (e.g. environment, digitization, inclusion or participation) become priorities.
Through the European Year of Skills, the European Commission, in cooperation with the European Parliament, Member States, social partners, public and private employment services, chambers of commerce and industry, education and training providers, workers and businesses, aims to give a new impetus to lifelong learning.
On Thursday, May 30, 2024, "Dimitrie Cantemir" Christian University will organize an information session on Erasmus+ mobilities, addressed to both students and teachers.
The event will take place on the Bucharest campus, starting at 12 noon, room 5A. Participants will have the opportunity to discover the main foreign universities with which UCDC has collaboration agreements for Erasmus+ mobilities, as well as other offers of international courses and scholarships.
