“Dimitrie Cantemir” Christian University conferred the title of Doctor Honoris Causa to Her Excellency Professor Dr. Kristin Sobolik, President ad interim of the University of Missouri – St. Louis

The solemn ceremony was organized to confer the title of Doctor Honoris Causa to Professor Dr. KRISTIN SOBOLIK, President ad Interim of the University of Missouri-St. Louis, an outstanding personality in education and scientific research.
Ms. Corina-Adriana Dumitrescu, President of the University Senate, opened the awarding event, welcoming the participation of Prof. Dr. George T. Sipoș, Senior International Officer and Associate Professor of the University of Missouri-St. St. Louis, working in international education management, student recruitment and admissions, strategy and planning, networking and community support.
Ms. Professor Dr. Cristiana Cristureanu, Rector of the University, presented the academic Laudatio, highlighting the important work of Prof. Dr. KRISTIN SOBOLIK in several universities and institutions, his highly responsible functions in establishing appropriate budget funds, the harmonized financial plan for 5 years in 2018-2023, the purpose and actions oriented towards student success, research and development, economic growth, prioritization of academic programs, investments and new programs in Cybersecurity, Computer Technology, Sports Activity Management, Entrepreneurship, Organizational Leadership, etc. He has participated in numerous projects in the universities in which he has worked, developing a prodigious career in scientific research, as evidenced by his immense list of publications in vast fields of scientific interest.
Professor KRISTIN SOBOLIK has received numerous awards and has become an honorary member of several institutions and academies. Mrs. Professor Corina-Adriana Dumitrescu, President of the University Senate, informed the university community about the importance of awarding this title, now, on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the University.
After receiving the diploma of Doctor Honoris Causa, which was read in Latin by Professor Corina-Adriana Dumitrescu, Professor KRISTIN SOBOLIK addressed a word of thanks, stating that she is very honored to receive this title.
